Salgo Rallye 2018

Salgótarján, 31 August - 2 September 2018

Salgó Rally, the biggest motorsport event in the surrounding was held on the first weekend of September. This year not only ORC, ORB, Rallye 2 and Historic rallye cars ran on the famous tarmac stages of Nógrád and Borsod counties, but amateur rallye drivers (MARB) competed against each other as well. The event started with a prologue in Ózd on Friday. Next day it was followed by 4 super special stages: Királd, Domaháza – Zabar, Cered – Zagyvaróna and a new city stage in Salgótarján (amateur drivers ran on Cered super special stage only). The city stage became very popular both for the drivers and spectators, too. Unfortunately due to the lot of crashes, there was a major delay in the schedule on Saturday. Next day the delay continued, the remaining 3 super special stages, namely Zagyvaróna - Cered (in opposite direction), Sámsonháza - Nagykeresztúr, Vizslás - Kazár - Salgótarján were held with more hours time lag. Finally, Ferenc Vince / Daniel Holczer won the Salgó Rallye 2018. Congrats to them.
